Thank you for your interest in the Science & Engineering Fair of Houston! As one of the largest and longest running science fairs in Texas, we rely on a large group of professional volunteers to serve as judges for as up to 800 student projects each year.  For SEFH 2022, we are looking for volunteers to judge projects in our junior (grades 6-8) and senior (grades 9-12) divisions across 18 different categories (see category list), and anyone with a bachelor’s degree is eligible to serve as a judge.

SEFH 2022 is scheduled as an in person event and will take place on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at the George R. Brown – Hall E in downtown Houston. As a place award judge, your time commitment will be approximately eight hours from around 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. Additional information about the judging process and schedule will be provided as the fair approaches.

Due to the effects of COVID-19. SEFH 2022 will require all participants to wear face masks throughout the event. The SEFH planning committee will continue to monitor public health conditions in our region as the fair approaches and will keep you informed on any additional precautions or changes to our plans for the fair.
